Going Green Maintenance Tips

It's no secret that electric solutions are becoming more and more popular in the heavy equipment industry. However, with new products and solutions, comes new maintenance requirements. Here at FLIFT America we keep a variety of electric forklifts in our inventory. This includes our popular Lithium Ion Forklift, a zero emission forklift.

If you are in the market for a Lithium Ion Forklit, it's important to note the storage requirements for a lithium ion battery so that you can get the best value out of your forklift.

Check out Lithium Battery storage requirements below: If the lithium battery is not used for more than 6 months, it should be stored according to the storage requirements.
-The battery should be fully charged and discharged once every 3 months,  recharging to 70% of its capacity.
-Lithium batteries should be stored in a cool, dry, and ventilated environment. Away from water, fire, and high temperatures. (The self-discharge of the battery is affected by the ambient temperature and humidity. Exposure to elements such as these can accelerate the battery's self-discharge. Therefore, it is recommended to store the battery within the temperature range of 14°F to 14°C and humidity of 65 ± 20%RH.)
